Our very last day started very early in the morning. At 9am we were having breakfast, and then we went upstairs to finish our suitcases. The plane was leaving at 16:10h, so we had many hours left, but we had to plan our time very well.

At 12pm we had lunch in the hotel, and after it, we took a taxi that drove us to the airport. The flight costed 944€/person with an escale in Qatar. It had a duration of 19,40 hours. The company was Qatar Airways.

We arrived to Barcelona at 7: 05 am. And in that morning we counted how much money we had spent in our whole trip. We didn´t know we had spent that much! Ouch!

THE LAST DAY :(

                                                                                                         14th May 2015

It was the last day in Kathmandu before going to the airport and take a flight to go back to Barcelona. Olivia and I decided to do something different from walking the streets, so we visited the Patan Museum in the morning until lunch time and then we went to the Bardiya National Park

The Patan Museum is located in Patan Durbar, Nepal. It displays the traditional sacred art of the country in an illustrious architectural setting. Its home is an old residential court of Patan Darbar, one of the royal palaces of the former Malla kings of the Kathmandu Valley. Its gilded door and window face one of the most beautiful squares in the world.

After having lunch, we took the car and drove to the Bardiya National Park. It´s a protected area established in 1988. Covering an area of 968 km2, it is the largest and most undisturbed national park in Nepal´s Terai. The Nepalgunj-Surkhet highway partly forms the southern boundary, but seriously disrupts the protected area. Natural boundaries to human settlements are formed in the west by the Geruwa, a branch of the Karnali River, and in the southeast by the Babai River

In fact, there are no words to express how marvelous was that place! We loved it so much, not as much as the safari in Zanzibar, but, wow, it was very impressive seeing that wold animals that close!!

                                                                             ***
At 8pm we left the car in the rent-shop, and we went walking to the hotel. We were very tired, but we had enjoy it so much! It had been a very, very greatful experience. We connected very soon with nature. We could feel the silence of the landscapes with no roads or crowd of people at all, we could relax in those magnificent and beautiful beaches of Tanzania... I think this travel had taught us really truthful values about how can you live the life without any material object-or only a bit of it- at all. We´d connected with our interior, we´d learnt how to be better people... Definitely, it´s been the best trip I ever done.

NEPAL TOURISTS III

                                                                                                             13th May 2015

On Wednesday, Greta and I went walking around the city until reach Durbar Squarelocated in front of the old royal palace of the Kathmandu Kingdom. It belongs to the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
The Durbar Square is surrounded with an spectacular architecture that shows the skills of the Newar artists and craftsmen over several centuries.

After taking several photos of this square, we went to the Thamel Market, located near this place. It was full of people walking down these streets. It was sooo sick! There wasn´t any space for us! We had fun there, it was really nice and surprising. We actually bought lots of things!

Next, what we do was to go to the hotel and we had lunch there. In the evening, we walked through the streets of Kathmandu. We loved that place!

NEW EXPERIENCES

                                                                                                            12th May 2015

On Tuesday we decided to visit Phewa lake, located in the city of Pokhara, 230km far from Kathmandu.

It was the best for going there because the sun shone all morning, and there weren´t too many people. We arrived there at 11am. The ambiance was very nice, and after seeing it, we had lunch in that city.

As there were lots of boats, we decided to rent one and we actually went by our own through the lake, but not too far from the "port"!

And we also decided to do paragliding, because there were some groups of people doing it, and they told us to try it. At first I was a bit scared, not as Olivia, but we both managed it well and it was a greatful experience! Yay!!

At 6pm aprox. we went back to Kathmandu, were we visited the Garden of Dreams and after that, we had dinner in a restaurant near that area. How lovely was the food!!

We spent the whole day trekking in that valley until 4.30pm aprox, because we had 5 hours to return to the hotel. At 9.30 we arrived, we had a shower, we´d dinner and we went to bed. We were really grounded!!
